Biography
Nancy M. Green provides representation and guidance to domestic and international clients in complex family law and matrimonial matters as well as drafting and negotiating prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She routinely appears in matters in the Supreme Court and Family Court and has significant trial experience. She is a skillful negotiator and has successfully resolved countless cases through settlement.
The scope of her practice includes high-asset divorce, property division, spousal support, child support, child custody, international family law including Hague child abduction cases, UCCJEA and UIFSA cases, divorce with international property and custody issues, registration and enforcement of foreign orders and decrees, drafting and negotiation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements for foreign nationals marrying us citizens and vice versa.
Ms. Green has successfully argued appeals in the Appellate Division for the First and Second Departments. Ms. Green has substantial experience in international family law and has successfully litigated international child abduction cases and represented clients in international custody/visitation and child support cases.
Ms. Green has also successfully litigated matters before the Surrogates’ Court in New York County and Kings County.
Ms. Green started her legal career at a mid-sized law firm representing lending institutions in residential and commercial real estate transactions and foreclosures and therefore has significant experience in transactional real estate matters. She represents clients in both residential and commercial real estate transactions. In the context of a divorce, when real estate is required to be sold or transferred to another spouse, Ms. Green is able to assist clients in effectuating these transfers.
