Biography
Allison L. Rockmore received her Juris Doctor from St. John's Law School in 1996. Since that time, she has concentrated her area of expertise in in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, custody, paternity, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, equitable distribution, distribution of retirement benefits and assets, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, post-Judgment modification and enforcement proceedings, family offense matters and grandparents’ rights before the Supreme Court and Family Court of Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Kings and New York counties in both contested and uncontested matters, as well as before the Appellate Division.
Having gone through a highly contested divorce herself, Ms. Rockmore is keenly aware of the sensitive and emotional issues present in a divorce, which allows her to handle each matter both sensitively and aggressively to maintain the client's rights.
Ms. Rockmore's vast experience with all types of matrimonial and family law matters has yielded her a unique ability to analyze the facts of each case, identify strengths and weaknesses and determine the best strategy for the client. Throughout her career, Ms. Rockmore has settled hundreds of cases and successfully litigated others entailing multifaceted child custody and support issues and complex equitable distribution issues. From highly contested cases involving complicated issues such as valuations for business interests, degrees, licenses and real property, and separate property claims to the resolution of a matter on an uncontested basis, Ms. Rockmore has many satisfied clients, whether it be the result of her creative settlement terms or as the result of litigation.
